I'm wondering if that's one of same shows my kids aren't allowed to watch either. Once I figured out where they learned to call each other "dill weed", I was livid!

Stopping by from PINT. Have a great day!

I can't stand all those idiotic cartoon network cartoons! Gotta stick with the classics. My kids love Scooby Doo, Smurfs, Fraggle Rock, Tom & Jerry, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, etc. Kick it old school and show them what real cartoons are like! ;-)

Yup - Cartoon Network is banned for the same reasons at my house. Took awhile to convince dh it was not appropriate for his son to watch South Park!

What ever happened to the quality shows back in the 80's like rainbow brite and the popples?!

Hi Adrienne!
This is why we are not planning to subscribe any cartoon channels at home. We will just let our little one watch dvds & that way, we can control the choice of cartoons she can watch.

You hit the nail on the head! I have wondered the exact same thing. I hate Cartoon Network for just that reason. It's awful!

I would have cracked up at him saying he was the queen!

My kids aren't allowed to watch much Cartoon network for that reason. The language is awful. Nick Jr, Sprout, and even HBO family are better.

Ugh, Cartoon Network is so not kid friendly.

I was just talking about this with a girlfriend the other day. They definitely don't make 'em like they used to, that's for sure. I still think nothing beats the Muppets for children :)

Oh, it's awful. I totally agree with you, Adrienne!! And just wait until they get older. It's nearly impossible to find anything fit for my teenager to watch. I bought her all 5 seasons of "Saved By the Bell" just so she'd have something fairly wholesome to watch. She loves it!! Who knew??

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog last week. You are so kind!! I'm following you now, too ... your blog is absolutely adorable.

I LOVE the Queen thing and that you didn't see it coming! So typical around here, too! And I totally agree about the TV shows for kiddos. We stick with videos of Caillou, Thomas, Bob the Builder...for the same reasons! No fancy cable here!

I am there with you! Just like the tweenage shows, like Zack and Cody-yet funny-but have you ever thought about them always having some sort of scheme planned....they lie.....among other things?! Also, to name another one would be that ICarly show......GRRRRRRRRR! That one takes the cake! She is "smarter" than any adult and is so rude! My kids aren't allowed to watch either of those or Cartoon Network. It's sad that you can't just let your kids watch a network that is suppose to be for KIDS. We have 5 ranging from 12 down to 2.....so there is a big range there. Usually we just put in a movie if they watch anything at all. It's just sad.

I've found the ones that don't teach poor language teach kids to have little or no respect for their parents or grown ups in general. I agree it's very frustrating.

There is so much garbage on Cartoon Network. The writers probably do not even let their kids watch TV or they are fresh out of college and think it is funny when they hear a kid say those words.

Ok, "I'm the Queen" is too funny. The bad words in the cartoons is not cool. It's really hard for me to imagine those words in the cartoon...? I don't have kids but, simply stated it would not be something I would allow any of my friends kids to watch it. What are they thinking?
